What kind of model does the WBS Rating System use?
SusdeX Corporate Innovation System (CIS) Rating System is a multi-dimensional, scientifically based assessment model aligned with international best practices that evaluates organizations' innovation management competencies, innovation maturity levels, and capacity to create sustainable value through a holistic approach. The model is built on the understanding that innovation is not merely about developing new products or services; it is also a corporate system formed by the convergence of many components such as strategy, culture, organization, governance, collaborations, financing, and performance management.
The CIS Rating System evaluates organizations' innovation capacity under seven key dimensions: Basic Preparation, Strategic Planning, Governance System, Cultural Dissemination, Project Management, Open Innovation, and Financing and Evaluation. These dimensions comprehensively analyze organizations' current state regarding innovation, their level of preparedness for the future, and their ability to transform innovation into a sustainable competitive advantage.
The Basic Preparation dimension assesses the organization's innovation awareness, existing competencies, goals, and initial level of innovation management; The Strategic Planning dimension examines the extent to which innovation is integrated with the organization's vision, mission, strategic goals, and growth plans. The Governance System dimension evaluates the integration of innovation processes with organizational structure, leadership support, decision-making mechanisms, responsibility sharing, and corporate processes, while the Cultural Dissemination dimension analyzes employee participation, creativity, entrepreneurship, learning culture, and the prevalence of innovation throughout the organization.
The Project Management dimension evaluates the processes of developing, selecting, prioritizing, designing, and concluding innovation ideas; the Open Innovation dimension examines the collaboration mechanisms the organization has developed with universities, research centers, startups, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The Funding and Evaluation dimension assesses the adequacy of resources allocated to innovation activities, their financial sustainability, and the performance measurement systems of innovation projects.
The scientific foundation of the model is built with contributions from expert academics in the fields of innovation management, technology management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, organizational development, and corporate transformation, and is regularly updated. The Academic Advisory Board reviews the scientific validity, methodological consistency, and currency of the evaluation criteria. The Sectoral Advisory Board contributes to ensuring the model is compatible with the needs, competitive conditions, and practical realities of different sectors. Thus, the system has a structure that is both academically strong and highly applicable in the business world.
The CIS Rating System uses a multi-stage methodology that includes data verification, evidence-based evaluation, expert analysis, and independent rating processes. Evaluations are carried out by trained expert analysts, and the results are reviewed by an independent Rating Board to form the final rating decisions. This structure ensures that the evaluation processes are conducted objectively, transparently, consistently, and reliably.
The CIS Rating System also has an integrated perspective with Corporate Sustainability Systems (CSR). Today, sustainable growth requires the simultaneous development of innovation capacity with environmental and social responsibility goals. Therefore, the CIS model evaluates not only the innovation performance of organizations but also the potential of innovation to create sustainable value.
In conclusion, the SusdeX Corporate Innovation System (CIS) Rating System; It is a holistic innovation assessment and rating model that is aligned with international best practices, scientifically grounded, supported by academic and industry expert opinions, based on verifiable data, and secured by independent evaluation mechanisms. The system is designed as a strategic management tool that will contribute to organizations improving their innovation capabilities, increasing their competitiveness, and creating long-term sustainable value.
How can I benefit from the KIS Rating System?
Organizations wishing to utilize the Corporate Innovation System (CIS) Rating System must follow a specific workflow. The process consists of three main stages: Application Process, Data Entry Process, and Evaluation Process. This structure ensures that evaluations are conducted systematically, transparently, verifiably, and comparably.
The CIS Rating System is designed for use by all institutions and organizations, regardless of their sector, scale, organizational structure, or ownership model. Public institutions, private sector businesses, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, service businesses, manufacturing facilities, and other organizations can benefit from the system. Because the evaluation model has a flexible structure that takes into account the characteristics of different sectors and fields of activity, each institution is evaluated based on criteria appropriate to its scope of activity.
In the application process, the institution registers with the SusdeX system, creates an evaluation request, and enters its corporate profile information into the system. At this stage, the institution's field of activity, sector information, and other basic information are defined in the system to create the framework for the evaluation process. Thus, evaluation criteria and data sets appropriate to the institution's scope of activity are determined.
In the Data Entry Process, the organization enters the requested data into the system in the dimensions of Basic Preparation, Strategic Planning, Governance System, Cultural Dissemination, Project Management, Open Innovation, and Financing and Evaluation, and uploads supporting documents, records, reports, policies, procedures, certificates, or other evidence documents if required.
Following the completion of the data entry process, the evaluation phase begins. In this phase, SusdeX Evaluation Experts (Analysts) conduct a comprehensive analysis by reviewing the data and supporting evidence uploaded to the system. Additional information or clarification may be requested as needed. As a result of the reviews, the maturity level of the organization's corporate innovation system, its strengths, and areas for development are determined. Analyst evaluations are scored according to SusdeX methodologies, and rating results are generated.
After the completion of the evaluation process, the final results are presented to the organization through the SusdeX system. The organization can access detailed evaluation results, performance analyses, and outputs related to areas for development. Organizations that successfully complete the rating process are also awarded a SusdeX Rating Certificate. This certification serves as an important reference, demonstrating that the organization's sustainability performance has undergone an independent, systematic, and evidence-based evaluation process.
